ABOUT
I've been working in corporate America since 1999 and it was time for a change.
This had been an ongoing thought for a while and every time I considered a change, fear set in and I continued with the script.
I finally made the leap and left my corporate job in May 2024 without knowing my next move.

Anyone that knows me knows I'm a passionate Italian with a love for food and wine, so I did what any irrational, unemployed person would do...I went to Italy. I took a 10-day trip to Tuscany by myself to break the cycle and clear my head. My only goal for the trip was to relax, get lost in the Tuscan hills and enjoy delicious food and wine.

I came home refreshed and knew that I had to figure out a way to keep one foot in Italy. It made me happy, gave me a purpose and I had a ton of passion that was ready to be unleashed.
During my trip I stumbled upon an olive oil mill in Montepulciano and tasted some of the best olive oil of my life. It was a second generation mill run by two daughters that were producing some of the best olive oil in Tuscany. I eagerly ordered a case to have shipped home and couldn't wait to share it with friends and family.

As I sat in San Diego enjoying my olive oil and pretending I was still in Italy, a lightbulb came on that I hadn't even considered. Could I start an Italian import business? I could, obviously, but how? What would it take? Could I make any money? Aren't other people already doing this? All the thoughts ran through my mind and when I finally kicked fear to the curb, I decided to start doing research to figure it out.
My number one goal was to not worry about how I would make money. If I put money first, the idea would probably be dead within a week and I knew I had to let it breathe to see what was possible. After lots of research, phone calls, emails, trials and tribulations, I knew I could pull it off. I still wasn't sure if I could make money, but that wasn't the point. Passion drives success and I would let it take its course.
Fast forward six months and I'm proud to announce, Importing Italy, a boutique Italian importer.
It's all about the ingredients and the most important aspect of my business is to import the best possible ingredients you simply can't purchase yourself. I want to import exclusive, unique products that only I can get. One's that come with a story, history, and quality that is unmatched by others.
